| Pool Openings Our Pool Opening includes the following: Removal of water off the cover; removing the pool cover and washing and storing it away; removing plugs and re-installing ladders(s) and diving board; starting the pump & filter (and heater if one is present); and adjusting the pool water chemistry. Service Rate is $75.00 an hour, plus tax. The price of opening chemicals is extra and depends on pool size: It usually takes 1 to 1 1/2 hours to open a pool, depending on size.
